Direct Nozzle Plasma Treatment Combined with Cold Gluing for Coated Packaging Cartons

Coated and laminated packaging cartons frequently face bonding defects when using cold glue. Surface coating agents reduce carton surface energy, resulting in weak adhesion, box opening and high reject rates, which has long troubled packaging manufacturers.

Keqi inline solution integrates direct nozzle plasma activator and cold glue dispensing system, perfectly solving the adhesion challenge for coated color boxes, pharmaceutical cartons and consumer goods packaging. Before cold glue application, atmospheric plasma removes surface release agents and activates cardboard molecular structure, effectively raising surface tension to deliver stable and lasting bonding performance.

The equipment can be retrofitted onto existing folder gluers without extensive reconstruction. Plasma treatment runs synchronously with cold gluing procedure to achieve continuous online processing. The dry plasma process does not damage printed patterns or cause color fading, fully matching high-standard packaging production requirements.
