Product Description:
Versatile, Seamless, and Cost-Effective Camera Inspection System
This adaptable camera inspection solution ensures precise quality control by inspecting print quality or adhesive from the sides or top of a production line. Designed for easy integration, it seamlessly fits into existing setups with smart cameras, advanced lighting, and intelligent software.
Fully Automated Machine Inspection
Eliminate manual spot checks with this efficient and affordable vision system. It delivers 100% automated inspection, ensuring consistent quality control even in high-speed production environments.
Minimize Recalls & Reduce Waste
The KQ-VD720 detects print defects and identifies non-conforming products with high accuracy, preventing costly recalls caused by missing or incorrect labeling.
Three Operational Modes for Comprehensive Inspection:
- Template Detection Mode: Compares a reference image with the current product to identify defects. Any deviation is flagged as non-compliant (NG) and automatically rejected. This mode is ideal for detecting issues with adhesive application, tape placement, and print quality.
- 1D Code Verification: Reads and verifies 1D barcodes, preventing product mix-ups.
- 2D Code Verification: Decodes QR codes, Data Matrix, and PDF417 to ensure accurate identification and traceability.
This advanced system enhances production efficiency, reduces errors, and guarantees high-quality output at every stage of the process.
Applications:
The KQ-VD720 all-in-one camera inspection system is specially developed for inline quality control on all types of folder gluer lines, covering consumer packaging, cosmetic cartons, electronic gift boxes and EU pharmaceutical packaging factories with strict traceability standards. It supports three core inspection modes to solve multiple quality risks in one station, replacing repetitive manual sampling inspection and realizing full 100% automatic online monitoring.
With template matching detection, it precisely inspects glue application defects including missing glue, broken glue, offset glue lines, uneven glue width and overflow glue, as well as print flaws such as missing patterns, stains, misprints and tape deviation. Its built-in 1D code verification module covers all mainstream retail and industrial barcodes supported by KQ-TM1, preventing product mixing caused by mismatched UPC, EAN and Code 128. Meanwhile, the 2D code decoding function reads QR codes, DataMatrix and PDF417, fully compatible with EMS pharmaceutical serialization DataMatrix and Code1-2-3 Pharmacode required by EU drug regulations.
The system adapts to production speeds up to 400 m/min, compatible with mass high-speed orders and frequent small-batch model switching. It can be installed from top or side positions of conveyors with adjustable camera objective distance of 100–999 mm, fitting various carton sizes. It seamlessly links with our rotary ejector or air blow reject device to automatically remove non-conforming cartons. All captured inspection images and data are stored locally for complete traceability, which helps factories complete after-sales accountability, process optimization and avoid costly product recalls triggered by defective packaging outflow.
Advantages:
The biggest advantage of KQ-VD720 lies in its integrated multi-functional design, combining glue inspection, print defect detection and full barcode & 2D code verification into a single set of equipment, eliminating the need to purchase separate KQ-TM1 and KQ-TM2 sensors for mixed production lines of general and pharmaceutical cartons, greatly saving overall equipment investment and installation space. Its high-speed imaging performance only takes 10–20 ms for single-frame detection with a minimum shutter of 15 μs, effectively avoiding blurred images under fast carton movement and resisting slight production vibration within 10–500 px to reduce false rejection rates.
Equipped with an independent touch screen, operators can complete one-click template learning, store hundreds of product parameter recipes, directly preview defective images and export inspection reports without extra PLC display configuration, lowering operation learning costs for workshop staff. The adjustable camera distance of 100–999 mm and photoelectric trigger range of 10–20 mm deliver flexible installation compatibility for both new folder gluers and old machine retrofits.
Different from single-function code sensors, this vision system retains full visual archives of every carton instead of only simple pass/NG signals, meeting strict traceability requirements for export pharmaceutical brands. Industrial-grade integrated hardware supports 24-hour continuous stable operation in slightly dusty packaging workshops, compatible with air pressure ejection and servo rotary ejector linkage. For factories that need both glue quality control and multi-code validation, it provides a more cost-effective and streamlined quality control solution than deploying multiple separate detection sensors.
